ABOUT

 

The Wavelength Conference provides an opportunity for research students and young professionals to present their work and ideas in a friendly and supportive environment.

Normally run over three days,conference is open for international attendance and welcomes submissions from researchers across the fields of remote sensing and photogrammetry.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstract submissions are now being accepted. To be eligible for early-bird registration abstracts should be submitted before Dec. 15 2017. After this date abstracts will still accepted till Jan. 30 2018, however, registration fees may increase subject to availability and pricing of accommodation.

LOCATION

The conference is to be held at the University of Sheffield, which is ranked in the top 100 universities world wide by the Russell Group. The main university buildings are located just above the heart of the city, within comfortable walking distance from hotels, shops, pubs and restaurants. Getting to Sheffield 

By train:

Train is by far the easiest way to arrive at Sheffield. From Sheffield train station, one can take the tram or bus directly to campus. If you'd like to see a bit of the city, it's a 25 minute walk to the University campus through the heart of Sheffield.

By plane:

Arriving at Manchester Airport, delegates can take an hour train directly from the airport to the Sheffield train station.

Arriving at the Doncaster Sheffield Airport, delegates can take bus 737 which will take them from the airport to the Sheffield train station in 45 minutes.

SOCIAL EVENTS

As well as boasting a strong scientific program, there is also an active social scene offered at the Wavelength conference.

Monday evening is designated as the icebreaker, where a delegates will visit a local pub and take part in a number of evening activities. 

The main social activities will take place on Tuesday afternoon, with either a visit to Blue John Cavern or the beautiful Chatsworth House and Gardens.
