These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society (“RSPSoc”, “the Society”) and its members (“the Member”). By applying for, renewing, or maintaining membership, the Member agrees to comply with these Terms and Conditions, along with any policies, codes of conduct, or regulations issued by the Society.
Membership of the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society (RSPSoc) is open to individuals, universities and organisations with a professional or academic interest in remote sensing, photogrammetry, Earth observation, geospatial science, or related disciplines.
All applicants must meet the Eligibility Criteria outlined by the Society and may be asked to provide evidence in certain circumstances.
Individual applicants (Full, Associate and Fellowships) should demonstrate an involvement in the field through study, research or professional practice. Student applicants must be enrolled in a university that has an active membership at the time of application. Corporate applicants must be organisations that support or contribute to the objectives of the Society.
All applicants must provide accurate, truthful information during the application process. RSPSoc reserves the right to request evidence of eligibility, including proof of student status or professional affiliation, and may decline applications that do not meet the criteria or that conflict with the Society’s values or objectives. The Society also retains the right to review eligibility periodically and request updated information where necessary.
Members agree to pay all applicable membership fees set by RSPSoc. Fees are non-refundable and may be subject to change. The Society will provide reasonable notice of any revisions to its fee structure.
Members must uphold the objectives, values, and professional standards of RSPSoc. They are expected to conduct themselves respectfully during Society events, meetings, online platforms, and any activities connected with RSPSoc. Members must keep their contact information accurate and notify the Society of any changes promptly.
Membership may provide access to benefits such as publications, conferences, workshops, networking opportunities, special interest groups, and professional resources. RSPSoc reserves the right to modify, add, or withdraw benefits at any time.
RSPSoc will collect and process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. By becoming a Member, individuals consent to the Society using their information for membership administration, communication, event management, and other legitimate Society activities. Members may update communication preferences at any time.
Members may resign their membership by providing appropriate notice of no less than eight (8) weeks prior to their membership renewal to RSPSoc. The Society may suspend or terminate membership for non-payment of fees, breaches of these Terms and Conditions, or behaviour that is considered harmful or detrimental to the Society or its objectives.
Participation in RSPSoc events, fieldwork, or activities is voluntary and at the Member’s own risk. The Society is not responsible for personal loss, injury, or damage arising from participation except where required by law.
RSPSoc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from membership or the use of Society services, except where legally required.
RSPSoc may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of changes, and continued membership will constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RSPSoc is registered and operates.
