RSPSoc75 Venue Announced: Celebrating 75 Years at RAF Museum London, Hendon
We are delighted to announce that the venue for RSPSoc75 has been confirmed: the landmark 75th anniversary celebration will take place at RAF Museum London, Hendon, on Thursday 13 May 2027.
This special evening will bring together members, partners, colleagues and friends from across the remote sensing, photogrammetry and Earth observation community to celebrate 75 years of connection, collaboration and progress.
A fitting setting for a milestone celebration
RAF Museum London offers a memorable and inspiring backdrop for RSPSoc75. Set on the historic former Hendon Aerodrome, the museum is home to an outstanding collection of aircraft and aviation heritage, creating a powerful setting for a Society whose work is rooted in observing, understanding and interpreting the world from above.
The venue reflects many of the themes at the heart of RSPSoc: innovation, perspective, technical excellence and the enduring value of imagery and data. As the Society looks back on its achievements and ahead to the next chapter, Hendon provides a place where history, technology and imagination come together.
Looking back, looking up and looking forward
RSPSoc75 will be an opportunity to recognise the people, ideas and partnerships that have shaped the Society’s journey over the past 75 years. It will also be a moment to celebrate the continuing importance of remote sensing and photogrammetry in addressing real-world challenges, from environmental monitoring and climate resilience to mapping, planning, research and innovation.
Whether you are a student, researcher, professional, educator, industry partner or long-standing member of the community, RSPSoc75 will be a chance to reconnect, share ideas and celebrate the Society’s role in advancing insight, discovery and collaboration.
